James “Jim” Albert Bendorf age 84 of Bay Lake Township died on April 16, 2019 at his home. He was born on March 18, 1935 in Claremont to Albert and Ruth (Hanson) Bendorf. Jim married Kay Wobig on December 23, 1988 in Owatonna. He worked at Jostens in Owatonna for 39 years. He was a volunteer fireman for Claremont for 24 years, a Scout Master for 38 years, an active school board member and church council member at Peace Lutheran Church in Claremont, a member of the Deerwood Lakes Lions and the Bay Lake Lions.
Jim is survived by his wife Kay; children, David (Jackie) Bendorf, Dawn Bendorf Wilke, Douglas (Rochelle) Bendorf, Debra (Art) Bendorf Olson; step children, Trent (Sylvia) Keller, Alicia ( Travis Ouellette) Klancher; nine grandchildren, Rachel, Nathan, Nicole, Amber, Taylor, Collin, Tyler, Tanner and Grant; eight great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Addison, Izabella, Emmett, Brinley, Carson, Madelynn and Alayna; brother-in-law, Gary (Connie) Wobig; sister-in-law, Karen (David) Skellenger; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding Jim in death are his parents, Albert and Ruth Bendorf.
A Memorial Services will be help 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
