Jean I. French (Larimer) was embraced by the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, June 5. She was surrounded by family at Good Shepherd Hospice of Auburndale, FL. Jean called Ohio home, but lived the last three years in Florida with her high school sweetheart, Brad Wolfe. Jean was active in many service organizations her entire life: Maumee Rainbow Assembly as Worthy Advisor and Mother Advisor, Maumee Eastern Stars as Worthy and Deputy Grand Matron, Ladies Shrine, and Mother Advisor for Fallen Timbers DeMolay and State Mother Advisor for Ohio DeMolay. She was a longtime member of Maumee United Methodist Church where her walk with Jesus deepened. Her sons, Jason and Joe, were her passion. She spent most of her free time supporting their activities from Cub Scouts to DeMolay and sporting events.
Jean was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Larimer. She leaves behind her sons, Jason (Brandy) and Joe (Katie), her grandchildren, Avery, Charlie, Ethan, Owen, Lillian, and Everett, and her mother, Elaine Larimer, and sister, Julie Rose (Larimer).
