Joseph A. Thiebault Jr.

Joseph A. Thiebault Jr., age 81 of Crosby died on March 16, 2022 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  He was born in Minneapolis on June 16,1940 to Joseph and Kathryn (McKowen) Thiebault.  Joe married Loreli “Babe” Blacketer on September 1, 1959 in Minneapolis.  He was retired from the State of Minnesota with 20 years of service.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby, was the president of the Sons of the American Legion, Ironton and served on the Myrin-James American Legion Color Guard.  

Joe is survived by his son, Joe (Wendy) Thiebault of Ironton, his daughter, Lynn Thiebault of Cottage Grove; one sister, Mary Lou (Darryl) Skallet of Pequot Lakes; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Preceding Joe in death are his parents; his wife, Loreli “Babe”; 4 brothers and 1 sister.

A Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.  Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
