Phyllis E. Flannigan, age 89 of Crosby died on January 28, 2020 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on February 8, 1930 in Alberta to Charles and Bertina (Larson) Tomoson. Phyllis was a retired employee of the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby with 22 years of service. She was a member of the Crosby Assembly of God Church, was an auxiliary member of the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557 of Deerwood, serving as Chaplain for several years. For many years Phyllis played the role as Mrs. Santa for the area.
Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Jim Hann) Manske of Deerwood; Linda (Brock Flower) Flannigan of Crosby; one son, Tom (Sarah) Flannigan of Brainerd; daughter-in-law, Wendy Flannigan of Crosby; two brothers, Clifford (Diane) Tomoson of Alexandria, Ron (Mir’Iam Connelly) Tomoson of Gassville, AR; two sisters, Charlotte (Bob) Stier and Mary Scott both of Alexandria; twelve grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.
Preceding Phyllis in death are her parents; one son, Mike; grandson, Michael David Flannigan; six brothers and one sister.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Crosby Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
