Robert “Manzo” Perovich, age 86 of Crosby died on February 19, 2022 at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby. He was born on October 19, 1935 in Crosby to George and Eva (Vranish) Perovich. Bob graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School, class of 1953. He was a retired insurance agent, servicing Contractors. He spent 25 years in the insurance industry and also 20+ years in leadership positions in various organizations. Manzo loved his remodeling projects, was the life of the party and always had a story to tell. Manzo was proud of his Serbian heritage and his roots in Crosby-Ironton which he talked about it often.
Manzo is survived one daughter, Robyn (Keith) Larson of North Fort Myers, FL; two sons, Jon (Jeanine) Perovich of Mounds View and Stephen (Lynne) Perovich of Blaine; two sisters, Roberta “Lala” Otto of Duluth and Suzie (John) Westgaard of Maple Grove; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Preceding Manzo in death are his parents; one sister, Helen Perovich and one brother, Elliot Perovich.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with Sharing of Memories at 2:30 p.m. at the Myrin-James American Legion Post in Ironton. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
