Theo Ann "Teddi" Miehlke

Theo “Teddi” Ann Miehlke, age 72, was unexpectedly called to be with the Lord Saturday, February 12th, 2022. She was born to Edward and Myrtle Stubbs on March 9th, 1949 in Vancouver, Washington, the youngest of two children. The family eventually moved to California where she grew up and graduated high school. There she met the love of her life Richard “Dick” Miehlke and would eventually marry, travel across country before settling in Deerwood, MN. Teddi and Dick ran the Oasis Drive Inn in Crosby for 25+ years. Running the restaurant was hard work but Teddi enjoyed talking and serving the community and friends that came to have a meal with her. Teddi and family attended Deerwood Baptist Church. She was a voracious reader, her favorite was magazines and cookbooks, bird watching, sharing silly jokes, and shopping bargains for family and friends. Her love for people and her community was evident. It was difficult when the Oasis closed in 2000 but Teddi found her new niche at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, where she continued to enjoy the community and the people she loved. Teddi retired from the hospital in June of 2019 with much persuasion from her daughters. Her family was blessed these past few years to have Teddi living with them. Teddi leaves behind her pride and joy, her daughters, and their families. Rebekah, husband Paul and their children, Willow, Bentley, Harrison, Elijah, Helena, and Urijah. Teddi’s middle daughter Rachel. Jai, husband Joe and Teddi’s beloved grand dog Nugget. Being surrounded by family, sharing meals, laughter, adventures, and their love was a source of much joy for Teddi. Teddi joins her husband Dick in heaven, which we imagine was a wonderful reunion. We miss her wild antics, her silly jokes, and her presence every day. Please join us to celebrate Teddi on Saturday, May 21st at Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. A visitation time with the family at 2pm. A small service will be held at 3pm, please bring a memory of Teddi to share with the family.
