Theresa Marie Dehning

Theresa Marie Dehning age 59 of Rabbit Lake Township died on May 12, 2018 at Essentia St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd.  She was born on May 19, 1958 in Minneapolis to Wilbur and Mildred (Murphy) Slawson. Theresa married Ralph Dehning on Aug 26, 1983 in Rabbit Lake Township.  She was a former Box Room employee for Potlatch Corp. in Brainerd and a former server at the Grand Casino, Mille Lacs.  Theresa was a 4thdegree black belt master in Tae Kwan Do. She ran instructional classes in Tae Kwan Do in Aitkin, Brainerd and Crosby from 1998-2016.

Theresa is survived by her husband Ralph; one son, Christopher (Mary) Dehning of Aitkin; one daughter, Michelle (Jerome) Price of Aitkin; step daughters, Melody Johnson of North Branch, Sue (Jeff) Beninga, Donna Parkins and Julie Everly; two brothers, Richard Slawson and David (Edie) Slawson; two sisters, Diane (Tom) Nogosek and Barbara (Ray) Schimek; and four grandchildren.

Preceding Theresa in death are her parents; one sister, Linda Slawson; one nephew, Paul Nogosek and one niece, Johanna Hanson.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
